Welcome to the Big Lake Community Food Shelf Website

The Big Lake Community Food Shelf is a 501 [c] [3] non-profit organization founded in 1995 to help those within their community with access to food assistanceWe continue to serve those within the Big Lake  community with  food access as well as additional resources and assistance with supplemental programs through federal, state and county agencies.

THE BIG LAKE COMMUNITY FOOD SHELF ANNUAL MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 18, 2017 AT  6:00 PM IN THE BIG LAKE COMMUNITY CENTER.  THIS IS  RESCHEDULED FROM THE ORIGINAL DATE OF JANUARY 24, 2017.

 

Do you have health care needs but cannot make it to the clinic? Does your family need health insurance coverage? Project H.E.A.L. (Health, Education, Access, Link) is an outreach program of CentraCare Family Health Center. We offer free health screenings and basic care at Big Lake Community Food Shelf for those who have little or no insurance. Come see us the first Monday of every month, FROM 5:30 TO 7:30 PM. UPCOMING DATES: January 2; February 6; March 6; April 3; May 1; and June 5.

 

The Big Lake Community Food Shelf is in need of the following items:

  • Deodorant
  • Hair Products
  • Diapers (any size)
  • Wipes
  • Toothpaste
  • Coffee

     

    Your donations can be dropped off inside the City Hall Building under the “City of Big Lake” sign in the cabinet labeled “Food Shelf Donation Drop-Off” at 160 Lake Street North.
